Flights, Guided Tastings & Private Tastings

Experience Afton’s award winning wines in curated and custom wine flights,
guided bar tastings or private hosted tastings in the Tasting House.

We welcome larger groups for bottle and glass sales daily with no reservation needed.

Families and well-behaved leashed pets are welcome in the Pavilion and Tasting House.

Wine Service

Our wines are available to purchase by the glass or bottle and may be enjoyed in our temperature controlled indoor Pavilion or our on our expansive picnic and lawn space.

All lawn and patio tables are available on a first-come basis, with no reservations. We can reserve tables in the pavilion with advance notice and availability.

For groups larger than 20, please call ahead or email Dianna.

Food

We offer light snack fare for purchase – local cheeses from Virginia Fresh, Razzbourne Farms, meats, crackers, and local chocolates. You are welcome to bring your own picnic for enjoying in the Pavilion or our picnic areas. Outside alcohol of any kind is prohibited by Virginia ABC law.

Indoor seating in our tasting room is available on a first come first serve basis during regular business hours with no reservations.

Our glass Pavilion is open year-round. Enjoy a glass or bottle of our wine on our patio with beautiful panoramic views, or relax at a picnic table in the grass or in our Pavilion surrounded by the beauty of Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains.

I was on a sip and savory train ride this weekend and they had wine from Afton Mountain. The blanc de blanc was super fun and bubbly but the Echoterra stole the show! I’ve also been to the vineyard and the views are stunning!

We had the best time at Afton Mountain Vineyards. We had a reservation for a private tasting for 11 of us. Casey was wonderful and spent so much time with us talking about the wine and the amazing vineyard. Even the winemaker himself took time to chat with us about his process. We loved the views, the pavilion space, and the incredible tasting. Our favorite winery experience of our whole trip. The private tasting was definitely worth it.

Very Nice Cottage. Very Spacious and Quiet. Fully stocked kitchen if you needed/wanted to cook. Very nice and spacious bathroom as well. Sadly all the cottages are close together and the porch all face each other. Neighbors were shining flashlights at our Cottage while we were there staying. How close they are are the only downfall. Little issue with the house keeping but not horrible some of the glass was missed as well as cob webs in the light fixtures. Overall it was a great stay.
